Erling Haaland has dropped a hint about where he could play next season amid interest from Manchester City and Manchester United.
The Norwegian forward was absent from pre-season training tests on Tuesday which sparked speculation about his future and potential departure from the club this summer.
Both Manchester United and Manchester City are thought to be keen on securing Haaland’s services.
However, Haaland has seemingly quashed all rumours about a possible departure by sharing a picture of himself on social media in Borussia Dortmund colours looking in good spirits during pre-season preparations.
Both United and City are exploring options to sign a number nine this summer.
Guardiola will be keen to bring in a forward after the departure of Sergio Aguero and the club are already in talks with Harry Kane over a potential move.
Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is familiar with Haaland having coached him at Molde and United were close to securing the Norwegian’s services prior to his move to Borussia Dortmund.
Solskjaer is determined to bring a number nine to Old Trafford who can play in the role long-term, however, with the financial situations caused by the pandemic and United having already bought Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, securing a deal could be difficult this summer.
Negotiations for Sancho were notoriously difficult and Dortmund are not interested in selling their other prized asset this summer.
Chelsea are also interested in the services of the 20-year-old who was voted the Bundesliga Player of the Season for the 2020/21 campaign.
Haaland has a high potential and the Norwegian is thought to be keen on a move to the Premier League in the future having grown up watching his father play in England.
In the short immediate future, it seems like Haaland is sticking around in Dortmund, for now.
