Jadon Sancho cannot wait to get started at Manchester United after he was officially unveiled as the club’s second signing of the summer transfer window.
United finally confirmed Sancho’s arrival at the club on Friday lunchtime as part of an announcement that was several days in the making, following an initial agreement.
The England international has signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford, with the option for an extra year, after United agreed a £72.9million transfer fee with Borussia Dortmund for his signature.
Sancho, 21, arrived at United’s Carrington training complex last Tuesday for a medical and to shoot the promotional material for his official unveiling, which has finally dropped after some anxious waiting for United fans.
Speaking to United’s in-house media, Sancho said: “I’ll always be grateful to Dortmund for allowing me to play first-team football, although I always knew that I would return to England one day.
“The chance to join Manchester United is a dream come true and I just cannot wait to perform in the Premier League.
