All eyes are being cast towards the start of the new season, following the end of the European Championship and Copa America this summer.
It’s now just under a month before Manchester United get the ball rolling on their 2021/22 campaign against Leeds at Old Trafford
Last term saw United make significant progress, finishing second in the Premier League behind Manchester City and runners-up in the Europa League.
This year, the target will be to compete at the top of the table as well as reaching the knockout stage of the Champions League – an objective the club fell short of achieving in their last campaign.
Each new season brings about fresh excitement, with new challengers in the division, new players in the team and on opposition sides and, of course, a new kit for the squad to wear.
United have now officially unveiled their new home kit for the 2021/22 campaign, bringing back memories of yesteryear with a vintage strip.
Predominantly red, obviously, the kit features a smart white trim across the shoulders in the classic Adidas three-stripe style, as well as on the sleeve, with the back of the neck having a gold United badge.
However, one particular feature of the kit that has caught the eye of a number of fans comes much lower down the strip, with quite a number of supporters expressing their love for the socks.
Predominantly black but with red and white strips at the top, the socks also feature the United badge in red – with detailing that has earned plenty of praise on social media
